It all started with a simple curiosity in Soho, London. Exploring the city with a friend, we came across a T-shirt featuring vintage cassettes and were told it could be printed in just an hour. That’s when I first got a glimpse into the fast-paced world of printing. This experience sparked my interest and led me down a new path of exploration.
The Birth of a Name
BBASHI isn’t just a name; it’s a nod to my dad’s signature and the unique story behind it. The idea came to life during a casual basketball game with a buddy. Amid the fun, he suggested ‘BBASHI,’ and it just clicked. It captured the vibe we were going for: creative, genuine, and all about making connections.
From Obsession to Mastery
Driven by curiosity, I dove deep into printing, discovering screen printing was top-notch. This journey for knowledge took me to Switzerland, where I started honing my screen printing skills right from my home, turning my curiosity into a real skill.
The Evolution in Bern
Switzerland offered not just a new home but a canvas for experimentation. I transitioned from my makeshift home studio to a rented basement in Bern, perfecting my printing techniques. It wasn’t long before my moon-themed screen-printed shirts found their way into a local store, celebrated for their handmade Swiss quality. This small triumph paved the way for BBASHI’s first retail space, blending my passion for screen printing with my love for collectible sneakers, drawing curious minds into the world of printing.

Digital Footprints and Community Ties
The BBASHI story continued to unfold with the creation of a YouTube channel, ‘BBASHI Studio’, where unboxings and creative ventures captivated a growing audience. However, life’s journey led me and my family to Chur, prompting the difficult decision to close our Bern space. In Chur, without connections but full of determination, I opened a bar, envisioning it as a new community hub for creativity and screen printing.

A New Chapter of Innovation
The bar in Chur became a melting pot of creative minds, hosting events and parties that celebrated creativity. As BBASHI’s printing business flourished, we expanded into digital printing, embracing both DTG and DTF technologies. This growth led to the introduction of workshops, educating and inspiring others in both digital and analog printing techniques.
Focus.
Now, BBASHI is entering a new chapter. We’ve moved on from the lively bar scene to concentrate fully on our printing and web services. This change marks a big step in our journey, showing our growth and dedication to what we love. We’re blending the physical with the digital, creating custom experiences and forging connections through creative work.
